PBEA has established the Founding Membership level to secure the necessary funding to support its early organizational efforts and activities. To recognize PBEA early supporters, the Founding Membership level is a time-limited offering. Supporting PBEA through a Founding Membership is possible until June 2012. Metropolitan Edison Company/ Pennsylvania Electric Company Sustainable Energy Fund.
The Metropolitan Edison Company (Met Ed) and the Pennsylvania Electric (Penelec) Sustainable Energy Funds were established in 2000 to support the development and use of renewable energy, support energy conservation and efficiency, to promote sustainable energy businesses, and to support projects that improve the environment in the Met Ed, Penelec, and Penn Power service regions.
Sustainable Energy Fund
The Sustainable Energy Fund is a private non-profit 501(c)3 organization that promotes renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy education in the Pennsylvania, with a focus on Eastern and Central PA. SEF strategically invests capital into building projects that seek to adopt energy-efficient technology and utilize renewable energy practices.
The Pennsylvania State University – EMS Energy Institute
The EMS Energy Institute is a leader in the research and development of energy sciences and technologies. The EMS Energy Institute is organizationally part of Penn State’s College of Earth and Mineral Sciences.
West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund
The West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund (WPPSEF) is a private non-profit 501(c)3 organization that was established in 2000. The WPPSEF was established to promote the use of renewable and clean energy technologies, promote energy efficiency and conservation, and works to attract and retain sustainable energy businesses in the 23-county West Penn Power service region.
